Within a 15-mionute walk from the airport, the National Exhibition Centre (NEC) is one of Europe's busiest and largest exhibition centres. The NEC is also via the AirRail Link to Birmingham International railway station. Opened in 1976, the centre has 20 inter-connected halls. It is also located adjacent to the LG Arena, a major concert and multi-purpose arena.

Getting to Your Meeting from Birmingham Airport

Birmingham Airport is accessible from the M42 motorway via the A45. National Express operates bus routes to the airport, including services to Birmingham city centre. Black cabs are also available, and car rental agencies operate in a dedicated car park near the terminal. Seven car hire firms provide a range of vehicles, including luxury cars. Several chauffeur services also operate to and from the airport, including Birmingham Chauffeur Service and Exec Car Hire.

The terminal building is connected to Birmingham International railway station by the AirRail Link, an elevated and fully automated people mover. Birmingham International is served by Virgin Trains, CrossCountry, London Midland and Arriva Trains Wales, linking the airport directly with London, Glasgow, Edinburgh, Wolverhampton, Manchester and other destinations across the UK. Trains depart for Birmingham New Street and the city centre throughout the day, with journey times of between 10 and 15 minutes.

Fly-in, Fly-out Business Meetings

For short meetings, the Business Point in the arrivals area offers meeting facilities and catering services. The Business Point also provides convenient business services, such as fax and photocopying. The centre has four fully-equipped meeting rooms that can be arranged in various layouts depending on individual needs. The Business Point is available Monday to Friday, from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

Birmingham Airport also has meeting spaces in its departures area for quick meetings before flying out. The Aspire Lounge's layout is a good spot for informal meetings. Access to the lounge is available for £17.49 when pre-booked online. The No. 1 Traveller lounge also offers a space to do business with meeting rooms supported by a business concierge service. Three-hour entry is available at £27.50 per person or £22.50 if booked online.
